Australia Day!!

The lamb killing industry seems to think they're going to make the traditional Australia Day food Lamb by airing a series of idiotic advertisements starring so-called comedian Sam Kekovich who is claiming that its un-Australian not to eat lamb and all vegetarians are jobless, dirty, pot-smoking hippies... Hmm.
Anyway, I'm here to show you that there's tons of stuff that's more Australian than eating baby sheep (which were actually imported and aren't Australian at all). Tonight I made up some Damper which is sooo quick and easy and yummy! Damper is a traditional Aussie bread which was traditionally made by stockmen and the likes over hot coles (billy, cork hat and pet bunyip in hand). Normally you'd eat this with golden syrup. However I decided to make a more savory version to be had with dairy-free margarine.
Damper is really simple to make, there's only 4 ingredients. You can find a really good recipe here, I just added about a teaspoon rosemary into the mix and grated soy cheese on top. Serve with dairy free marg and some vegemite if you like it (I prefer mighty-mite. It's still australian owned and made and it's yummier!).
